S. Susan Baloul, DMD, MS, DScD

Dr. Susan Baloul is a dedicated dentist. She is unique in her qualifications in that she is a dual trained specialist in orthodontics and is a board certified periodontist. Dr. Baloul is passionate about helping her patients achieve their goals. She addresses her patients concern by listening to them and understanding their needs. She loves the challenges and rewards of being a dental specialist and enjoys working with adolescents and adults.

Dr. Baloul received her dental degree, periodontal certificate and masters degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Baloul practiced in the Metro Boston area for two years before returning to school to obtain her doctor of science degree and certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine.

Currently, Dr. Baloul is active in both practice and research and has previously dedicated time to teaching at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. For her research, Dr. Baloul has received several awards from the American Association of Orthodontists and Dentofacial Orthopedics including the prestigious Milo Hellman Award. In addition, she has travelled nationally and internationally presenting her work. Dr. Baloul enjoys working among a team and was given the prestigious role of class president while pursuing both periodontal and orthodontic residencies. Professionally, Dr. Baloul is affiliated with the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, American Academy of Periodontology, and Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Baloul is an avid advocate of using the latest techniques and technologies in orthodontics and periodontics and is incorporating them with her practice in order to maximize patient's comfort, convenience and achieve great results. She believes continuing education is crucial, and therefore, completes many hours of specialized studies each year. In her free time, Dr. Baloul enjoys reading, baking, painting, yoga, and sewing. She also dedicates time to community service in the Metro Boston area.
